Pleasing others

Came across a quote I wrote down years ago--can't tell you wear I heard it...

"I have wasted so much of my life trying to make myself palatable to white people."

Exactly...I remember once when a fellow law student demanded that I take off the clothes that I wore to class. And he expressed no concept that he came at me from a sense of self-righteous superiority. Neither did the school's administrative "leadership".

A few months later, I watched him smash his face into a door that he failed to open before trying to cross the threshold...

Trump's trump

A few weeks ago I was plagued with the idea that Trump's presidential campaign is really a GOP master scheme to draw renewed attention to the GOP without sacrificing a real chance at the white house. My suspicion is that the GOP and Trump made a deal (last year?) that he would pose a pre-convention run but that he would withdraw from the race the eve before nominations. The GOP leaders have probably accepted the fact that they are losing touch with too many voters, don't really have any strong "candidates", and are loathe to relinquish any "compromise" to tea party presidential wannabes.

So, how to let any cream the party may have rise to the top without curdling the entire batch--in other words, how to winnow out the absolute worst or riskiest GOP candidate without losing even more voters? Well, an answer is to run NOW a candidate that doesn't have to worry about really running a presidential campaign ('cause he's gonna drop out at the last minute), that doesn't have to worry about the fake run bankrupting him, that doesn't have to worry about appearing disloyal to the GOP or being made a pariah, and that has probably used his incredible business negotiating talent to broker some pretty substantial "pat my back" deals that every Republican politician currently in office and that will be in office for the next twenty years will have to fulfill.

This is why we see Trump acting like a complete ass--it draws media attention to the GOP that it just hasn't been able to stir up on its own. This is why we see Trump making the rare and wildly broad but completely innane "policy" statements or asserting completely vapid "policy" positions -- they have no meaning and never will. This is why we see Trump lashing out at the media--it keeps the GOP in the news cycle even though his actions never commit the GOP to anything of governing substance and don't damage or substantively challenge any of the other GOP "candidates'" campaign or image.

Anyone interested in a pool on the hour and day before the GOP nomination that he drops out?

Citizen Whistleblower update

We have one client in Texas with two ex-husbands that have teamed up to abuse her. Each ex has his own "talents". One has plenty of money and hires people to stalk, harass, and annoy her. He provides these persons to the other ex for his use as well. The other ex lives nearby and  doesn't work, so his talent is researching and implementing ways to manipulate and exploit the legal system to abuse her. For example, last year alone, he filed 8 different complaints against her, had her arrested twice (only to have all charges completely dropped after the handcuffing and abduction), and tried to have her arrested a third time.

Through her work with Citizen Whistleblower, we have gotten the hired "thugs" removed from the ex's employ, and have done so in such a way that completely discredits the ex's and prevents them from hiring "replacements."

We also obtained a settlement agreement with the "bank" ex in which he has agreed to not hire even private investigators, to not assist the other ex in any way anymore, and to pay for the attorney's fees our client accumulated because of his direct actions against her.

We would like to broaden our impact to reach other states, including Pennsylvania, where we understand fraud, corruption, and abuse to be rampant--cultural, in public office and having just a deadening impact on the quality of life of the average citizen there. So, if you are capable of researching, interviewing, or reporting (even confidentially) what you know and have a desire to help, please give us a shout at

Stop the President from skirting his requirement to get Congressional approval for war

The decision to engage in military conflict should NOT be made without Congressional approval. HR Bill 4608 requires the President to file a report confirming the conflicts that he has committed US troops to engage in and for those to end if Congressional approval is not subsequently granted. It also puts an end to allowing the President to skirt around the Constitutional requirement that Congress must approve of getting US into war.

My best friend

lived her life with dignity, independence, and grace. So much so that it often rubbed off on me. Nelli, passed away on Monday, December 23.
